Bambini Basil Pesto

Basil Pesto

2 cups packed fresh basil leaves

2 cloves garlic

1/4 cup pine nuts (optional)

2/3 cup extra virgin oilive oil

kosher salt

fresh ground pepper

1/2 cup grated parmesean cheese

Combine basil, garlic, pine nuts, salt and pepper in a food processor or blender.  Pulse while slowly adding oilve oil until combined and smooth.  Stir in cheese and serve immediately.  If freezing, omit the cheese and add after thawed.
